Dreaming of a life in Canada with a strong sense of community, natural beauty, and career opportunities? The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) can be your direct route to permanent residence in one of Canada’s most welcoming regions.
At Waymax Global, we specialize in navigating the AIP, connecting you with the right employers, and ensuring your application is positioned for success.
What is the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)?
The AIP is a federal immigration pathway designed to help skilled foreign workers and international graduates settle in one of Canada’s four Atlantic provinces: – Nova Scotia – New Brunswick – Prince Edward Island (PEI) – Newfoundland and Labrador
Key Features of the AIP
- Employer-Led: Starts with a valid job offer from a designated employer.
- Direct Path to PR: Leads directly to Canadian permanent residence.
- Settlement Support: Mandatory settlement plan for you and your family.
- Faster Processing: Apply for a temporary work permit while your PR is processed.
How Does the AIP Work?
- Employer Designation: Employers must be provincially designated.
- Job Offer: Secure a full-time, non-seasonal job offer.
- Settlement Plan: Create a personalized plan with a service provider.
- Provincial Endorsement: Employer applies for endorsement on your behalf.
- Permanent Residence Application: Apply to IRCC with your endorsement certificate.

Your Step-by-Step AIP Journey
Initial Assessment: Comprehensive review of your profile — work experience, education, and eligibility for AIP.
ECA & Language Tests: If your education is from outside Canada, we assist you with obtaining an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). We also advise on and help arrange approved language tests (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF), explain CLB requirements, and recommend next steps to meet scores.
Job Search & Employer Targeting: Resume optimization, targeted outreach to designated Atlantic employers, and interview coaching to improve your chances of securing a valid job offer.
Secure Job Offer & Settlement Plan: Once you receive a job offer, we connect you with a designated settlement service provider and help prepare the mandatory settlement plan.
Provincial Endorsement Preparation: We work with your employer to compile the endorsement package — including your ECA, language test results, settlement plan, and other supporting documents — and submit it to the province.
Work Permit Application (Optional): If eligible, we assist with applying for a temporary work permit so you can begin employment in Canada while your PR is processed.
Permanent Residence Application: With the provincial endorsement, we prepare and submit your PR application to IRCC, ensuring ECA, language test results, proof of funds, and all documents are accurate and complete.
Post-Landing Support: After landing, we provide settlement assistance, help activate your settlement plan, and guide you through integration into your new community.
